We are planning that The Redemption House will be able to house 12 ladies and a full time house mom.  This would require 4-6 large bedrooms.  The square footage of needed space is 3,750 or more.  Some homes we have looked at to meet these needs have ranged from $160,000 up to $250,000.  The lower costing homes need more renovations, which would add to the cost.

Once the house is purchased, it will have to be brought up to the Ohio Recovery Housing standards.  This may require adding toilets, shower facilities, and bringing it up to fire code as well as meeting other safety codes.

 

We would also like to have some of our operating budget raised for when we are up and running.  We will have the regular monthly expenses of running a household such as electric, water, phone service, refuge collection, and other utilities as well as groceries.  Other expenses would be a van for transportation, office supplies, salaries for the house mom and executive director, insurance for the business, house, and employees, and taxes.  We estimate our yearly budget to be $50,000.  Obviously this will vary depending on the size of house we get and the number of ladies staying in the home.
